Sarah and the clones
Maslay is currently the lead of the hit Canadian science fiction thriller series Orphan Black, for which she has received widespread critical acclaim, winning two Critics’ choice television Awards, a TCA award, and two Canadian screen awards, and receiving Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG nominations.

In the series Orphan Black, Maslay not only plays the lead character, Sarah Manning, but also plays Sarah’s cohort of clones: Cosima, Niehaus, Alison Hendrix, Helena, Rachel Duncan, Elizabeth Childs, Katja Obinger, Janika Zingler, Aryanna Giodano, Danielle Fournier, Jennifer Fitsimmons, Krystal Goderitch and Tony sawicki. Playing 14 different characters, each having totally different personalities, wardrobe and accents we are able to see Maslays talent of acting.

The series focuses on Sarah Manning, a woman who assumes the identity of one of her clones, Elizabeth Childs (also known as Beth), after witnessing child’s suicide. The series raises issues about the moral and ethical implications of human cloning and its effect on issues of personal identity.
